As Wilma started racing to the northeast and another weather system started pushing across the US in the same direction, there was talk about another possible "Perfect Storm." That didn't happen, because Wilma was too quick, treking off into the northern Atlantic, but neverthless, helping to fuel the Nor'Easter that's kicking the shit out of NYC right now.
Being the weather fanatic that I am, I got excited about the prospect of another Perfect Storm, and decided to look up when the last one was, 14 years ago. That storm formed in late October when Hurricane Grace got sucked into a Nor'Easter, forming a huge, violent system. You can read more about it, and see some satellite images here. This is the same storm that the book and movie were based on.
